Aglianico red wine "il Simposio", a full-bodied and aromatic red wine, perfect for accompanying red meats, game, and cheeses.
Aglianico is a volcanic red grape variety widely cultivated in Campania and Basilicata. Il Simposio Altavigna is grown on the volcanic hills of Benevento, in a production area of ancient origins. This pre-Roman wine embodies the history and tradition of this land.
Aglianico gives rise to the best red wines of southern Italy, endowed with exceptional tannins and significant freshness and aromatic richness. The harvest takes place in the first ten days of October. After destemming and pressing, the must ferments at a controlled temperature with maceration of the skins. The result is a wine with an intense red color, a fruity aroma, and a dry, full-bodied flavor with well-integrated tannins and a long aromatic persistence. The finish is harmonious and persistent, with notes of cocoa and vanilla.
Il Simposio Aglianico Beneventano is a perfect wine to pair with red meats, game, and not too aged cheeses. A unique taste experience that will take you on a journey through time to discover the flavors of ancient Rome.
It is recommended to serve this wine at a serving temperature between 16-18°C.
